Last week in Year 4...

Last week, in Year 4, we enjoyed doing science because we got to melt chocolate and marshmallows. We did this to find out whether these changes were reversible or irreversible. We discovered that melting chocolate is a reversible change but that melting marshmallow is an irreversible change. The best bit of the lesson was when we made Rice Krispie cakes and were allowed to eat them on the way home. What a yummy treat!

We also made mini sleighs for the school Christmas tree in the hall. We used lolly pop sticks and saws. Using the saws was fun because we had never done it before. After gluing them together, we painted them blue, red, purple or green and later today we will be decorating them. We also made some small snowflakes for our hall display.

We were all very excited about holding our annual Christmas fair with fun and games for all the family. We always enjoy our Christmas fairs because they are exciting and this year was no exception!
